Hi collectors ,
I found this coin, I think that it came from China.
It has a diameter of mm. 26,70 and a weight of gr. 6,87. The edge is only partially reeded.
Do you consider it a genuine coin? Could you help me to find a correct classification?
Thanks in advance to anyone who will bring his opinion in my topic

I've not seen anything like this before. It says "fen wu" or "fen five" on the first photo.

The hammer and sickle seem to imply communism, however the Communist era coins put fen after the number, and this isn't anything they produced after 1948. Maybe it's some kind of coin produced before 1948 to circulate among the Communists. I was in Yan'an in northern Shaanxi once where Mao was hiding from the Japanese. Sorry, the CCP says he was fighting the Japanese...... cough cough. But I don't remember anything like this, but that doesn't mean much as my memory is kaputt.

Krause lists this under Consolidated Soviet Republic. Under China, People's Republic \ Chinese Soviet Republic in numismaster.com.

With a reeded edge the ca. 1932 original is Y# 507.1 and the 1960 restrike Y# 507a.

Genuine coins of Soviet Chinese coin do exist and this is not one of those fantasy issue.

This is definitely not a restrike issue however I cannot say with confidence that this is genuine.

I would be very wary of these coins as Chinese Soviet coins are quite rare and often counterfeited.

Thanks very much for your precious indications and opinions.
Are size and weight corresponding to a genuine issue?
Is it possible to distinguish the original one by stylistic analyses or in other ways?
