(1973-D LMC) Die Crack Error Info - Collectible?

Assuming this 1973 D error is even a die crack, are coins like this collectible? I've found a few like this where similar cracks follow the rim on LMC copper years, but just tossed them in the copper pile. What exactly are they? In another post, one of our experts mentioned a "struck through wire issue", is that similar or altogether different?

I think it is a planchet defect. Nice coin!

Not a die crack,it is a lamination. It would be collectible to a lamination collector.
