Hi coppernickeldaddy,
I am in No. Ky., 12 miles from the river. The boxes are square and I really didn't pay attention, but I think the boxes say '$500 HALVES'. They are wrapped in Brinks paper. The last three boxes I went thru, (1) had zero silver, but 8-9 2002's and up, (1) had 3 clad; and (1) had 35 clad, 3 90%, 2 Bens, 1 '74-D DDO, 1 '82-P no FG and a few nice MS various dates. So...there still out there. I agree with you that doing the smalltown banks does turn up some nice results. I've got loose bags with up to $750.00 face at different banks, because they had to have $1000 before they were allowed to ship. Of course most of these had been saving them for at least a year. Also with gas prices, one has to watch how far out you travel. It gets expensive. I'm going to Alabama over the 4th, so I plan on hitting a few along the way. Anyway.....Happy Hunting!
