Can someone give me a little more info on this coin? Perhaps a value? Grade?

1934 Chinese silver junk dollar. Sun Yat-Sen on obverse, junk ship on reverse. 0.900 silver. Looks AU. Value ~$100.

Looks okay, but an issue that's been extensively forged, so get a weight and determine specific gravity if you can. Some sources suggest that the fineness is only .880 but it's hard to say if that's true.

The type was restruck by the U.S. Mint in 1949 without the date being changed. It's my belief that this is the source of many of the AU/MS examples extant today, and I'd wager these were .900 fine.

100 dollars would be a steal. I think it would go double that easily.

These can run rather expensive in higher grades. I think ggs estimate is pretty accurate. I'd grade the above coin at AU55-MS60 (visible wear on the head & checkbone). I don't see glaring evidence of cleaning and your coin does have some pleasant toning. If luster is present, in the current grade up to $150 is possible (assuming this coin gets graded). Non graded about $100 is good estimate.

You can scour ebay's ended listings to get a feel. Here is a sample listing:

Don't confuse the 1933 dollars with the 1934 dollars; the 33s carry a more substantial premium.

Thanks for all the the info. I sold for $120, so I think I got a decent price for it.
