Good morning, I ran across this coin in my batch and looking for confirmation that it's a DDO and possible grade. Thanks in advance. SS Edited by shotgung 05/11/2018 08:47 am

You have the coin in hand. Go to Wexlers site and match markers. If they all match, you have that variety. Wait for a pro to chime in. John1

I don't know which one it is, but it's definitely a Doubled Die Obverse. Nice find!

It looks like the CONECA listed 77D DDO-002. Here is a photo of a marker for the DDO-002, a light die scratch running above the hair and through the R in LIBERTY. Larry Nienaber

Nice find! Yours matches mine. Out of 189 boxes I only ever found one. These are not easy to come by.

Earle-42...Yours doesn't match Shotgung's half, yours is the 77D DDO-001, his is the 77D DDO-002. Note the doubling on the UST of TRUST. Larry Nienaber

Tahnks atrox,varietyvista.com does not have pics of the DDO-002 for me to compare. Please let me know what you are seeing different in the two though b/c I do not see it. There is a major difference in the lighting used totake the pics (mine is the worst with hot spots), but zooming in on his to look at what I thought were differences in the S showed the same things with his. The same with the T. At first look I did not see the lower notches under the T's bar on his, but zooming in on his piuc shows them there.
Please correct me if I am mistaken and missing something.

I get mine today. Shows it's out for delivery. Based on your recent pictures, I believe mine is the 001. Thanks for the information and postings.

Man!!, I'm having a real hard time seeing the doubling on this coin. Not sure if it's my lighting or what. I don't doubt or question the coin but I just can't see doubling under my scope. Has to be the lighting I suspect

After roll searching and putting thousands of JFKs under a (dissecting - not digital) microscope, I learned to put my desk lamp directly in front of the scope and then I would look for doubling in IGWT by rotating the coin so the view I saw showed IN TRUST upside down. For some reason it made the doubling really stand out as opposed to other angles.
