I found this in a circulated bankroll from a bank box of U.S. Pennies that I bought off of ebay for 40.00. The box was from Denver, so I found a ton of coins from the Denver Mint. This is a great find for me as I've never found this one before ever. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any of the Die Markers on the coin, maybe they got worn off from circulation? These are the more collectable types of memorial column DDRs (more desirable by collectors).

I don't think it is that die number. I could find a match on any of his images. (all 115 of them) You coin had a bar on each side of 6 & 7 columns. (6 near the should on left, 7 on the calf, a real small one on the right side) It maybe a new listing? You might contact him.

Coop, the funny thing is it looks very similar to that one, but I can't find the die markers at all, so maybe a new listing? I'll going to send these pictures to John Wexler to see what he thinks. I'm going to have to send John Wexler these DDR's anyway, because I have a bunch of them that I couldn't find a match for. This is a very strong DDR too. Thank you very much for the help Coop! As always, it's very highly appreciated.

Still waiting for USB microscope to arrive < / deep sigh > Mebbie I'll try the ol' loupe in front of camera lense trick just to be doin' something < unwarranted hopefulness >

Here is how the bars get formed on the Memorial reverses, and how two happened on this die:

Very cool Coop and informative! Thank you very much for creating that image with the memorial showing how that Doubled Die Reverse was created! This was very helpful to me and very easy to understand.

Thanks. I had an image like this years ago, but it some how got lost, or I just can't find it now.

I do remember I was making it for this one to explain what happened. Of course it was rejected at first my by teacher, but we have moved on since then.

He thought it was just die gouges. But later it was listed because it was submitted to another attributer.

Another interesting one:

It was listed by Wexler. 1999-D DDR-002

You're very welcome! That's an interesting story about that image you created for your teacher. Those two Doubled Die Reverses are very cool and unusual.

Wow Coop! That's a lot of images! It's a good thing that you have them though, just in case you need them. And if you need more, you create new ones.
