Firstly would like to thank you for your time and knowledge. My mother and I are having some questions about the front right leg and also possible mint mark error ? No info is too small everything is appreciated. Any thoughts ?

The area I circled is metal that has been moved by a hit (direction of arrow). I see nothing wrong or of interest on the front leg. Maybe you are thinking of the '36D 3 and a half legged error? On the Denver mints for the 36 and 37.

I am aware of the 3 1/2 legs buffalo but compared to a regular buffalo I noticed a difference in that front leg looks to be disformed to me in a way. Is there a specific name for the error on the mint or is that mint considered normal ?

1936-D is the 3.5 leg buffalo.

I think coop and Crazyb0 pretty much covered it. The MM may have taken a hit or have been worn down and the leg looks normal to me with circulation wear.

Keep searching!

If you can tone down the lighting a bit it would reduce the glare. Also, a 14% gray scale background would be better than the red.

The leg issue is on the Denver mint coins, not San Francisco coins.

Here is a side by side with the mint mark position for your coin and the RPM-001:

Not the same die. Not that RPM.
