I have this 1964 Jefferson nickel I tyred to clean it several times but it stayed like this colour, is there anything special about it.

to CCF. Looks like environmental damage,like a metal detector find. Also,as a general rule...never clean a coin. It reduces any potential value by at least half.

How cool would it look if you polished off Jefferson and Monticello like the wear has already started doing? This coin will never be worth more than 5 cents, so why not.
