Was looking at some off my "OFF" Roosevelt dimes today...

Just trying to confirm the errors on these...

1978 D Roosevelt dime:

Roosevelt-Dimes---Off-Center-Strike-Or-Mad-Coins?
Roosevelt-Dimes---Off-Center-Strike-Or-Mad-Coins?

1990 P Roosevelt dime:

Roosevelt-Dimes---Off-Center-Strike-Or-Mad-Coins?
Roosevelt-Dimes---Off-Center-Strike-Or-Mad-Coins?

1996 P Roosevelt dime:

Roosevelt-Dimes---Off-Center-Strike-Or-Mad-Coins?
Roosevelt-Dimes---Off-Center-Strike-Or-Mad-Coins?

1974 (P) Roosevelt dime: I think I was mostly looking at the date here against the rim and the reverse rim was off a bit, but I believe that is normal and the devices are just worn...? So I just thought I would throw it up here...

I do have better close up shots of stuff going on but lets start here!

Thanks!

Are the reeds on the edge. Are they normal?

Seems like it to me...although some are a bit worn, I am assuming due to circulation?

The '78 & '74 seem to get more narrow at a point and on the '78: (1-2 o'clock above Roosevelt's head) has barely any reeds left where it gets narrow.

What should I be noting here...?

Thanks Coop!

Hmph. The '96 just looks mishandled with ED. The '78 was struck with a VLDS obverse die (maybe reverse, as well).

The 1990 may have been struck with a slightly tilted die.

The '74 is LDS and exhibits some MD.

Edit: It would really be better if we could talk about one coin at a time instead of trying to address the characteristics of four coins at once.

Thanks Spruette... I was wondering myself if I should post seperate.

Sorry... will do going forward. I just figured they were either similar errors or not error at all.

The rim looks normal to me. There may be a small die chip on one of the olive leaves that you show and it would not be an unusual place to find one, if so.

Please do stick around. There is much to be learnt! I learned something tonight involving SACs. You never know what it will be.

I have been learning tons... in a short while. Just started in Feb/Mar this year.

There is truly much to learn and I enjoy the treasure hunt as well... Never know what you will find next!

on second look with a fresh mind and new day... Now, I am not convinced that the '96 has a die chip on the reverse, upon better inspection. I think it may just be moved metal... also the rim isn't as thin edged on the outside of the rim as I thought on that coin... looking at it angled.

So, I think that the '96 is a toss back...

Yes Spruett mentioned that! My bad... I won't do it again! PROMISE!

So should I repost them again... 1 at a time?

Are any of them worth reposting?

Thanks!
