This was an another machanical error striking process cent. On the observe, tall letters of top side motto "IN GOD WE TRUST"(except "TRUST") and the motto was close up to Lincoln's head top, an extra small bundle of hair was on top of Lincoln's head. Lincoln"s nose became bigger and the smaller "8" of date number 1980.

The tall letters and small looking date are from a worn die.

Not a Small Date cent. Not even close. This stretching of the devices are from extreme Die Deterioration from die wear. The die flow will start to go outwards after tons of strikes. Normal wear and tear on the die. Worth face value since this is normal.
Errers and Varietys.

Mr Coop,I'm very appreciated to your patiently and clearly explanation! From your suggested website and information, I have learnt lot of numismatic knowledge. In my opinion if someone always think of collection can make rich ,then he must not be a real collector,he is just only a nuggets The greatest benefit of collecting is continuous learning and to excavate the unique stuff. Thanks again!
