1942/41 D Mercury Dime In My Junk Silver?

I just found this, and think that it could be the overdate. At this point I'm not sure, could just be seeing things. Thought I'd check with you guys to be sure. Report this Post to the Staff

When I found an actual 42/41 in my junk silver bag, I threw it back in because the overdate wasn't very prominent. Later I dug it out, had it checked and sold it for far more than the $1.20 I'd paid for it. Can't win 'em all. Report this Post to the Staff

man2004 Valued Member United States 338 Posts	Posted 05/18/2018 01:56 am I believe the "R" in LIBERTY is also a 1941 R instead of a 1942 R in an authentic 42/41 overdate D and P. The 1941 and 1942 dies were switched after annealing. The 1941 R has a longer left leg just above the wing and the 1942 R has a shorter left leg.
