Wondering if you can help me out on how there are bubbles on this Lincoln Cent from 1982. Plus it's the cleanest one I've seen.

Thanks

Plating bubbles. Zinc is deteriorating under the copper plate.

Probably also zinc dust on the planchet that got plated, making the rough finish.

Quality on business strike coins went out in 1916. When you look at the 1916 coins, they all have the nicest quality designs.

Plating Bubbles are very common on the Copper plated Zinc cents. Zinc dust gets on the Planchets, causing bubbles to appear on the Copper plating. No premium for the since it's very common and not collectable.

As mentioned plating bubbles. They had a REAL problem with that in 1982 and 83. They got better once they added a trace of copper to the zinc core (which allowed the plating to adhere better) but they have never solved the problem completely and plating bubbled still can be found on the recent zinc cents.
