It's a Type 2 SLQ, not a Type 1.

From those photos it does look like 1 obverse and 2 reverse.
I'd need a lot better photos before I'd see that as any real possibility.

The question now is did PCGS error, or did the seller post the wrong reverse image? The obv image is too out of focus to tell for sure if it is type 1 or type 2.

It's definitely a Type 2, mislabeled. The type 2 lists for $115 less than the type 1 in AU-58 so a careless bidder could pay way too much for this coin.
Regardless of label, this coin has low eye appeal IMO and doesn't look strong for the assigned grade.

Ah, excuse me guys ; but what if it's a Chinese fake that they produced in error on their part , and PCGS was asleep at the wheel .

Even with the collar slightly visible, the hair is a dead give away this is a type2. Funny, last week at the LCS I found a mislabeled PCGS 1917 S (type1) that was not labeled as an 'S'. The coin shop owner immediately raised the price :)

Quote: Out of curiosity, can you send a coin back to PCGS to get the labeling fixed free of charge? Yes, You can send them back as a "Mechanical Error" and they will fix the label if it is not accurate. There is no charge except to ship the item back to them. I would first call the TPG support and let them know that you would be sending a coin back for mechanical error.

Yes, I didn't look at the hair, it's a type 2.
