Hello. I found this penny a bit confusing. I am starting to understand what to look for in double dies but this penny seems to not have been pressed as hard towards the upper rim of the obverse. The impression of "IN GOD...." is very light, making it harder to focus on. I see the strongest doubling to the north of the GOD. The doubling is slighter on the rest of the phrase. "LIBERTY", however, looks like MD going towards the nearest rim. The same for the date, MD towards the nearest rim.(hope I am phrasing that right!)
The doubling over GOD is far greater than anywhere else on the coin. Of course, I am expecting this to be MD. It would think that the amount of Machine Doubling would be consistent over the whole coin and that is why this one is throwing me off.
One more thing, is the O in OF on the reverse thicker than it should be? I took a bunch of photos of this coin. Please take a look. Thank you.

I think this one is Die Deterioration, not a Doubled die.

Liberty is also showing MD. No need to keep this one. Normal aging dies.

Thanks guys. So its safe to say that MD's can have various amounts of doubling on the same coin?

Not always. On your coin just Liberty was affected. But on MD, it is random. Not the same damage happens over and over each time.

These were from the same roll and all show the same marker. But the MD was different from strike to strike.
