It's a bit of an odd coin, isn't it. The obverse makes it look like an off center strike, the rim diminished. But you wanted to know about the reverse. Again, the rim is diminished, on the same part of the coin. I believe that is known as a "partial collar" where the coin was struck before the full raising of the collar. I'm sure somebody else will confirm or call me an idiot. There is some surface chatter but nothing major which suggests to me that it wasn't circulated & maybe came from a mint set. With a bit of MD in the United States and corrosion remnants around the outside but clear on the inside I'm wondering if this has had some shirt-tail cleaning. In light of these details, I don't think I'd go above MS-60. Report this Post to the Staff

Additionally, the spotting drops the eye appeal. As far as grading and eye appeal these photos do not show a special coin. Report this Post to the Staff

The misalignment is not even changing the tops of the devices closest to it. Having said that, I have found a few in the past like this and kept them for the fun of it.
