Saw this coin today and noticed an anomaly on the 2 of the date. Is this some type of damage or metal scuff displacement? Worth sending in or not? Edited by Clickraider 05/26/2018 5:26 pm

@Clickraider, I can't quite tell whether this is a well-placed hit or a die chip when I blow up your picture. Any chance of you posting a more magnified close-up?

I will try to get better image than this. Now that you mentioned Die Chip though, more than likely that's all it is going to be. Standby for an image.

It was a bit difficult to get a better image, so I decided to take one upside down and the seperation is evident and leans more towards a Die Chip although the image is blurry. Does it hold any premium value other than face value?

Mucho de nada dinero, well I think that's something like it, if it goes through the CoinStar, it's "spendable"... English is my first language...

Confused here. New to any die chip errors. Crazyb0 says no value then the next post not sure if being sarcastic or actually in disagreement with crazyb0's post.

@Clickraider, yes sorry for having a bit of a varied response to you on this. I think that everyone means well, as we have relatively little snark here at CCF. With regard to your coin, if it is damage, then your coin is spendable. If it is a die chip, then while being a slightly unusual example, I can't imagine there being any numismatic value beyond face value. So save it if you find it neat as you are only holding up 5 cents that could be spent elsewhere, but otherwise it is safe to spend.

can't tell for sure what is going on with your coin. It maybe a die chip or surface field movement caused by another coin. ( PSD)

Better pictures will definitely be needed. I can't tell with these pictures if it's a Die Chip or a well placed hit.
