Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74881 Posts	Posted 05/26/2018 9:53 pm That was caused by heavily worn die ( Die Deterioration). This is very common and it doesn't carry any value over face value. This is part of normal wear and tear on the die. You can keep it if you want, but it's only worth face value Errers and Varietys. RLS0812 Valued Member United States 131 Posts	Posted 07/24/2018 7:40 pm It's very common for 2015P and 2016P dimes to display heavy Die Deterioration on the obverse. Is there any ' Die Deterioration Doubling' on the date? The doubled elements will look blurry and smeared. Report this Post to the Staff
