Can I ask for your help to identify a medal? I recently bought this small broche made from a medal and can't find any information about it! There are no signatures or marks on the medal, only a silver mark 900 (900/1000) on the back.
I would love to know who this (royal?) woman is and who the maker of the medal is. Anyone? Thanks in advance! Kind regards from the Netherlands.

Welcome to the Forum!

She's very pretty and nice picture.

Wish I could help on this but I'm sure someone will be along shortly.

She's very lovely, but was never a medal. The silver quality mark right in the middle of the back means that she was always intended as a brooch.

It's got me stumped. I did notice the tiara has a veil. Things like this were sometimes worn at weddings.

without inscription or date (which are typically present on older medals) it will be quite difficult to find a clue

I also tend to think this piece was manufactured as brooch from the start
medals are not born that way

Based on looks I would guess that she is Eastern European, maybe Armenian?

Hallmark says 900. Some one pointed out the Feur-de-Lis on the tiara, suggesting she's from France. I'll keep on looking.
