@Lcbergan, first welcome to CCF. Second, after lightening and straightening your pics, I'm pretty sure that the area near the date has taken a hit which thinned out the cent on both sides. If so, then your coin is only worth face value.

Is it just me or does some of the edge look like a Dryer Coin? Especially in the last picture. That's not the only issue though. I'd say that appears to be PMD.

It may have then got stuck and further more damage by the machines mechanism. Or just a kid with a hammer having fun.
