Yes we use the term bricking or brickers
Getting new sealed bricks from the Bank of Canada
1000 notes divided into 10 bundles of 100
Notes each
These are uncirculated notes never been handled by
Individuals or the banks
We search through them for replacements
Special numbers error short runs prefixes
Changeovers etc
It's the best way to get Unc to gem notes
And if your lucky you can find some pretty
Cool stuff and some notes can fetch a very large premium

Is that 1000 per brick? If so you would be guaranteed to get a radar note provided that it always starts with the last 3 digits "000"

Yes 1000 notes per brick
And No you are not guaranteed a radar in any brick no matter
what the serial number starts at
You can get a brick with no radars and I have had bricks with up to 6 radars

My ol' man used to search bricks until the bank put a stop to it. He used to report to the old banknote forum and you might recognize his username...'Sudzee' or 'Sudzy'. I told him he needs to get on here and register now that many of you are here, he said he will when he has time.

I know your dad well "G.F." I will use his initials in case you don't want his full name posted.
Unfortuanately many brickers stopped bricking because of various reasons however I have been lucky enough to still be able to brick and have been doing it for almost 30 years now

no unfortunately they are not sequential
you may get a few consecutive runs, but the 1000 notes can be all over the board

I recently got my first stack ( I think it's called) of 100 notes and was surprised that they weren't all sequential Had several breaks in the sequence No luck on anything worth keeping but maybe next time

Very true. Twice, I came up to two-digit radars on the commemorative "150" tens but the #'s jumped and no radar (happened about 6 times on regular 3/4 digit radars). I had far too many heartbreakers on the "150" series so not sure if I can start it up again. It was also very difficult to get any trailing zeros so I know for a fact that both the radars & especially million numbered notes will be hard to come by on that series. I actually believe the inserts will be finished with the M/P FTH $10 and that's why so many SN will be missing in a bundle/brick.

100 notes is usually called a "bundle"

I get mine directly from the depot...not from a bank

and FYI they do not make good pillows, but perhaps stuffing your mattress with them individually may be more comfortable
