Just a bit concerned about the edge. it appears like a semi sharp chisel edge on 1 side

but the coin is the same size and shape as my other Herod Agrippa I's

2.71 gram

It's fine. Flans for Judaeans were cast in strips...the protrusion is the "bridge" that connected this flan to the next in the strip.

Looks fine to me. The Seleucids cast some of their flans into shape prior to striking, and the Jews mostly copied Seleucid minting methods. They just didn't bother to file off the casting sprue on this one. It's more common on the smaller denominations, but not unheard of in the larger.

I know that a lot of tourist fakes of these have been made, for obvious commercial reasons.
Nevertheless, there also quite a lot of genuine examples to be found as well.

I agree that this one is one of the nicer genuine examples.
