We have so many nickels that look like greasers, especially on the reverse. These two in particular we are curious about. Thanks!

I can't really tell with the pictures provided. We'll need better in focus pictures of the coins. You'll get better and more accurate responses with better pictures.
Errers and Varietys.

Coinfrog nailed it. Both your coins are worn down and details have been worn away. the reverse of the 43 is gouged and damaged. But keep the coins they are War Nickels with a little Silver in them.

Does that last one feel like silver? Or stick to a magnet? Henning Nickel? A counterfeit that has a nice price tag on them if it is?

What a great find that would be! Not magnetic. Weight is 4.9g. So I am thinking not the Henning, correct? I cannot make out the R on this coin - it is too worn down.

I feel the 45 is a Greaser only because the last o in monticello is almost perfect while the rest isn't there. To me it would be extremely hard for all the devices to wear away and only one letter stay so good!

Do you have other War Nickels? You could lay them out around this coin and place a single layer of facial tissue and give it the tissue test: That would tell if it is silver or not?

Thanks everyone! Didn't know about the tissue test! The first picture is the 43 and 45 above in this thread - clad? The second is a photo of the other war nickles we have. The one at the top looks like it is silver. That nickel is 1943 P. What do we have here? I will get photos of the 1943 P in the second photo and post in a bit.
