I do not believe this would get an MS grade b/c of wear on the high points, nonetheless it is a nice looking half. That being said, it would likely be melt value since it also is not a rare date.

As to whether you should keep it or not, it depends on your own ideas of collecting. Think about how hard it would be to try to find one of these in circulation and it is special. Knowing you could replace it easily at a coin show or online by paying a little over melt would make it not hard to replace if you later regret it.

Has some minor wear and maybe cleaned/dipped at some point but it's a great specimen coin for an album.

How did you come by this coin?

Hey all ...thanks for your thoughts ...a coin I got from the good ole TOOTH FAIRY...long ago of course....Doing some cleaning up this mess of coins and silver certificates and old joke cards and old postage stamps ..hoping like everyone ill find something special....
