Was going through my 1930's LWC and found this nice example of a 1939 DDR - Lots of nice details to this cent. Was wondering, is the "U" actually doubled or by chance did MD actually pick on this only letter/device on the entire reverse? ........

Very nice find Mark! On the letter "U", it looks like Machine Doubling since it's reduced in size. Machine Doubling can actually happen on a Doubled Die too. It's very weird isn't it? Did you see my very recent post on my 1996 D Lincoln Memorial cent with Concentic Lathe Lines that I found CRH?

Well have a pre-estate sale. That way the prices will be correct. You unload a burden to sell them off. Sometimes they go the Coin Star machine for face value.
