@uruman, it is subtle, but I agree that it looks like a die crack traveling from the rim to Mercury's head.

thanks Spence I agree it's not a big die crack but it qualifies as one, for the spiked heads listings in COC

I do like that one though! It's subtle, but it does go through his head. Pretty neat find on a Mercury dime!

Its actually common with die crack in that area.
