I was s going through a small stack of 2017 P pennies and this guy caught my eye. I'm aware of the doubling errors for this penny but I've not heard or read of any errors like this for this particular cent. Any ideas or oppinions please?

To a coin collector of nicer grade coins that would be the least interesting coin to them. But it is your collection. You make the rules for you.

Just some plating bubbles. It happens on the zinc pennies. I have quite a few from the shields and a couple are prob 5 times worse than that. Even they are susceptible to it

Other times it is plating over zinc dust. Gas bubbles will press down with a tooth lock. Zinc dust won't.

I thought Philly fixed that problem, I guess not. I hadn't really seen many here since 2015. Not surprised though, Philly's quality control.

These are just Gas Bubbles. These are pretty common on the Zinc Plated Cents. No premium for this. http://www.error-ref.com/gas-bubbles/
Errers and Varietys.

Okay that makes sense. I learn something new everyday.. I haven't seen this before now but I have only been collecting for a couple years now so I imagine there is a lot more I haven't come across yet.. Thanks for the feedback and new knowledge.
