After 27 years of bitter acrimony over their name, the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia has finally agreed to Greek demands to change their name. It will now be known, in English, as "Northern Macedonia". ABC Australia news article.

For the OFEC coin collectors, it will presumably mean a new country starting with "N".

Technically there's still a long process including approval from the Macedonian parliament, a national referendum, changing the constitution, and approval from the Greek parliament. Assuming that all works out, it should be interesting to see if there will be any changes in coinage. Thanks for sharing this story Sap!
