Question, Could a die crack not extend to an edge? Parts of it look incuse and other parts of it appear to rise above the surface. Could be an illusion. Looking forward to others input. The last image looks like a scratch.

It looks incused, like a scratch. It is PMD.

Yes looks like a scratch on this cent. Some of the metal has been "smushed" up a little, but it is fresh colored and untoned.

It's Post Strike Damage. It's a scratch, not a Struck Through error. You can see the pushed over and flattened metal.
