Hello coin enthusiasts,

What are your thoughts on this specimen here?

I'm particularly intrigued by the area just to the right of the date (the reverse of which is the "OF AM" from "OF AMERICA").

All thoughts appreciated.

To CCF! That's not an error unfortunately. That's just Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). You can see the pushed over and flattened metal. It's worth face value, since it's damage.

A better definition would be that the rim of the coin was correct when it was struck. Note when you look at the rim area, it is no longer round like the edge used to be. So the coin was altered intentionally to make it look like what ever he had on his mind. Didn't work out for what he wanted. So what does he do with it? Spend it. PSD. Return it back into circulation or take to back to a bank to have it sent back to the mint.
