I'm interested on your guy's thoughts on this. To me it looks like a coin scraped on pavement but on both sides?The size of this coin is the same as the normal dimes Could this be a mint error? Thanks!

Damaged. Flattened rims are a sure sign it has been altered.

This is Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). You can see the pushed over and flattened metal.

There are only certain errors that can occur during the striking of a coin.
Anything else is PMD.
