I just got a couple of uncirculated Denver dime rolls from my local bank and wondering if holding on to them for a few years will bring profit? What should I do with them?Any wise advice? I'm quite new to the whole coin thing but know a high grade old coin is valuable. Thanks in advance!!

First answer: Probably not.

Second answer: Save them or spend them. Save the rolls or pick out the best ones and put them in 2x2's to save. Learn the condition of the coins to determine grade.

Third answer: Enjoy the coins.

The mint is probably still making them - who knows the final number that may be minted.

My only relevant anecdote is picking up a roll of 2017 Effigy Mounds quarters straight from the launch ceremony. None of them were higher than MS63 and none will be worth anything more than face value in my lifetime. So grab a magnifying glass, learn what a truly flawless coin looks like, go through them and then spend all but the best example. Or wait 20-30 years, go on ebay, and make up some story about how you found an unsearched roll in an old house. (Just being cynical/sarcastic). But of course the flip side is that you're only tying up $10, so if you think it's cool, keep them! I still have $10 in 2017 quarters sitting right here, after all.

Save them all. Then in about 50 years if not worth a lot, spend them.

Save em to spend on coins you want next year is the best I can tell you. I seriously doubt that they will be worth anything in your or my lifetime!

I personally don't see the upside in lugging these things around for the next 20 years.

Who is lugging them around? Just toss them in a box in a closet for your kids to find later.

These will be very common to find, once the year is over. There will be a ton of them minted and I don't see any reason to hold on to a bunch of them.
