Many beautiful copper liards have been shown here  . Here is the very first one (that was minted in copper). Sort of a test coin, with a mintage of about 5000. The mint mark A was normally used by Paris, but due to unrest in the capital, the Paris mint was temporarily moved to nearby Corbeil. France: 1 liard 1654, Louis XIV, Corbeil (A)  |

@1c5d, I liked the "two handed" Antwerp jeton of 1654, and on that lovely 1655 Quote:

I apologize for the poor pictures and I need to redo them at some point but this thing is tiny!! 1654 - Brandenburg-Prussia - Friedrich Wilhelm AR schilling, 15.5mm, 0.5 grams KM#263 Off-center strike (as most are) 5.6 million of these were minted, a large and impressive mintage given the date!
