Hi,
There is nothing that I am aware of.
That being said, although it is fairly remote a posibility, Some of us "Veteran" roll searchers and die variety people will always advise that people don't go only by the coins that are listed somewhere.
There are several factors. The first would be that there are many lists and even nuts like me can't keep track of what is what on the various lists.
Bill Fivaz and JT Stanton maintain a list, Ken Potter maintains a list, Chuck maintains a list, I have a rudimentary list, John Wexler keeps a list, CONECA has a list, Bill Crawford has a list, so does James Wiles (most are listed on CONECA's site) and John Bordner.....well, you get the idea.
Although some folks are working out cross references for many listings, there are still many listings that are unknown across the board. In other words, we can't keep track of what is on every list.
The other thing is that you can potentially find something that is not listed. That doesn't make it any less real. I've been fortunate enough to discover new Lincoln Cent die varieties over the years, and Ziggy9 on our forums hit a whopper by finding an undiscovered and very major DDR on a 1982 Lincoln Cent. I am sure that several other people here like Chuck and BJ have added greatly to the body of knowledge with new discoveries.
So..don't rule anything out until a true expert can see the coin or until you can post a picture here for some of us to look at. This is not to be disparaging but the typical "local dealer" does not always have the expertize to determine what is and what isn't with respect to coins like yours.
The key to these things is not to pronounce it as something until it can truly be examined.
Thanks,
Bill
