Usually, coins in circulation aren't worth as much as those not in circulation. They tend to get ruined and dirty that way. However, you can get lucky and pull some decent coins from circulation, especially now with people spending them due to the bad economy. The nicer ones not in circulation may cost you more as their conditions are alot better (for the most part) than those out there. It all depends on what you want to collect and more importantly, what you are able to spend. Stay around here as much as possible and you'll learn alot and see alot of nice coins (and some bad ones, too). Start in bulk by buying random coins to give you a base to start on. Get a Red Book 2009 as that will give you the most accurate price ranges and condtions. Also, you will need to consider storing your coins. Binders and 2x2 holders are the easiest way to start. Never think you have to go full-fledged as that will take time and money. Good luck to you and welcome to our world.

Hi,

We are allowed to have links to our own websites at the bottom of our posts. I specialize in finding good coins in circulation. Click on the link to my site to see what is possible.

Realize though that I've looked through millions of coins and probably over a hundred thousand rolls of coins to find the stuff that I find.

I also get emails on a daily basis from collectors finding some really fun stuff in rolls.

Anyway, with enough time and patience you can find a lot!

It takes longer and there will be some coins that you probably will not find but what you do find will amaze you!

Have Fun,
Bill
