There is a Khurso II currently on sale on ebay with some interesting aspects. Hopefully I will be able to snag it and add it to my correction. I can not comment if the coin is rare or or not, most of his coins are very common. This coin however caught my eye and here is why. The mint mark is BBA which indicates that the coin was struck at the court mint of Ctesiphon or Dastagrid. This particular mint mark doesn't show up very often. The Crescent and Star marks around the border is also different, rather than a crescent it looks more like a bracket also not common. Lastly the three pellets on the outside of the border at the five o'clock position. I seen pellets before but I have not been able to find an explanation as to what they mean. If anyone knows please enlighten me. If I'm reading the date right it was struck in year 31 of his reign. These three aspects makes this an interesting coin to me. Hope I will win it.

Thanks for checking the date, I see now where the last character looks like a 3.

The "d" on the VCoins piece is a little sharper. It's fascinating to me that the two share a reverse die (right down to the little pimples of die rust!), yet the ebay coin is a different obverse variety with the triangle of pellets.

Other than the depth of strike the reverse is a match for the two. It would be impossible to know how many dies came from this mint, but would be interesting to try and but together a die set.

Very nice looking con Ron! Great detail especially on the reverse..the altar looks alight! I agree with year 32 and it looks to me that the obverse is a die match aswell as the reverse..I dont know if its my eyes but on the vcoins example it looks as if the dots have been scratched out? If not to add these to the punch at a later point would be an easy task,as to why I dont know? Hope you win it..Paul

Well I missed it by $2.00, it went for $139.50. I kind of got caught up in the bidding, it's and interesting coin but not worth that much. In a way I'm glad I didn't have to spend that much.
