Hello. I'm new to this site. Apologies if posting incorrectly. I found a badly damaged 1983 p quarter, but I can't tell if it's mint error or just PMD (acid, maybe?). Thank you in advance for your time and help.

 Yes, I agree it looks like it got stuck in something after the Mint. Hope to see you continue on with your coins and posts here.

Yep, looks like spent some time in a parking lot with a bunch of car tires running it over.
