Ok... Last question for the day. I have these 2 2005 p Buffalo nickels, but they look way different from each other. Is there a reason that one is so much shinier than the other one, and looks like it has "paint runs" along the edges?

It's just circulation wear, not an error. It's Post Strike Damage.

I didn't think it was any kind of error... I just wondered why they would look so different from each other? They were made at the same mint and everything. Plus... the edges of the one looked funny. Almost like there were "runs" in the lamination. I'll see if I can get a better pic.

No, it's circulation wear. That's why they look so different. One is in a higher grade, while the other one is worn down from circulation wear. Also, that's not what a Lamination is. http://www.error-ref.com/lamination-cracks/

So, it's suppose to look like the edge is almost "reeded" like that? I don't understand how it being worn would do that to a nickel. Lol.

If you look at the last picture I posted... the nickel on the right has something going on with the edge... the one on the right is smooth (like every other nickel I've ever seen). It's not scratches... there are straight lines all the way around the edge of the nickel. That's what I'm asking about.

The marks would be raised on the edge of the coin, not scratched into the surface. If they are incuse they are damage.

But they're not scratches... they're raised up... not indented. They seriously look like "paint runs". That's the best description I can give.
