EF? I can see some detail missing but I might just be confused because I have no idea how the original piece looks like. That's a really nice planchet for something struck 500 years ago, though. Usually they're all lopsided.

Hi Leprecoin,
That's a great-looking coin considering its age. It looks cleaned, but I presume that is not a serious defect for such an old coin; at least, if NGC slabbed it they must not think the cleaning has caused significant damage. I'm assuming the soft detail is due to strike weakness and probably also because the dies themselves were not well-detailed. I'll guess an AU-50 grade, maybe even AU-55.

This has got to be one of the oldest dated coins I've seen. As far as I know most coins from this time period (and earlier) are mostly dated by the portrait of the ruler. This one is cool!
