Poll Question
So recently I picked up a collection dump of silver coins at face value. 11 rolls of washingtons + 12 Standing quarters, 6 rolls of rosies 48 of which werer mercs. I found an LCS that's offering to buy my washington silvers at $2.5 a piece. Most of them are circulated and a lot are slick but I have 2 rolls of BU silver. He said that he doesn't care they are slick and the BU's should balance it out. He also offered to buy the rosies which are largely in good condition at $1 each. Mercs at $1.25 and the dateless Standing quarters at $3 each. Is this a fair offer. Let me know! I want to avoid 10% ebay fees.
Considering that silver is about 11.75x, he's offering you 10x face on the newer stuff and closer to 12x face on the older stuff. That seems pretty good to me overall.
The 2.5 per quarter was the same my lcs offered me recently and the rest are decent prices depends on if you want stuff gone really quick or not too. Overall, especially with getting it at face value, I would take those prices if I needed the money quick
I sell mine on Craigslist. No fees & get closer to melt than LCS. Of course you have to be careful where you meet up with the buyer. I've made a few local contacts that are repeat buyers.
