Because they are silver,90% and 40% that ty88ty2 got for face value. If any are errors or varieties they are worth even more than face or silver value.Nice score.

The 1964 dated halves are 90% silver composition, like all USA dimes, quarters and halves minted in 1964 or prior.

The three 1967 dated halves are 40% silver composition.

As correctly stated above - a nice score indeed for face value at the bank.

Yes, Amy, these are significant because they are made of silver as stated above. All half dollars, quarters, and dimes 1964 and older are made of 90% silver. All half dollars from 1965-1970 are 40% silver!
