Congrats. Make sure there is no sign of attachment on either side. John1

Even a smidgen of a line, usually on right side can't see well enough to tell. It's tricky, had many "almost" floaters myself.

It appears totally broken.. Check that right side well though.. Heck, I'll give it a high five regardless, ^5 ! Swamp

Good eyes. I sometimes forget to look for those. Yours certainly looks legitimate.

When I researched floating / raised roofs many years ago, I found many comments stating it's common and can be found on any year. My research found two years stood out that exhibited the actual full double sided floating roof. 1969 and 1970 made up for 99.9% at the time and the 0.01% was questionable as slight evidence to the contrary seemed present or better images needed. Side note: In 1969 RDV-002 replaced RDV-001 and was used through 1972. But also in 1971 RDV-008 was introduced and match up with both ODV's used in 1971 and 1972. In 1973 RDV-003 was introduced. The match up obverse dies started with 1969 ODV-024 then 1970 ODV-025 and ODV-026. In 1971 ODV-027 and ODV-028. In 1972 ODV-027 is referenced along with and without MDO for all three mints. Time frames after 1970 seem strange, but that's the way I read it. Thanks, Doug. http://www.varietyvista.com/01b%20L...arieties.htmhttp://www.varietyvista.com/01a%20L...arieties.htm

I was hesitant to give this coin a acetone bath thinking I was going to find a small part of the roof still there. After the bath I was to find nothing there. Thanks for all your responses Halo1st thanks for the research, great info.

Making a quick check I find that I have them from 1969-D, 1969-S, 1970-D and 1970-S. Not sure how much of that is an artifact of me mostly only checking those years for them but it would seem those are the years and mints where most of them occur.
