Spotted this one and wouldn't have paid it much attention among countless other 1883-O's but while checking the reverse for O/O varieties, I saw the clash and the eagle's right wing, then checked the obverse and grabbed it straightaway. This is a scarcer VAM 19A known as a "tilted field" VAM. The diagnostic die scratch on the eagle's upper right wing and the unique die cracks below BUS are pretty reliable pick-up points. The seller's photos I am using here don't really show the triangle-shaped die crack below BUS -- you can look on the VAMWorld website at 1883-O VAM 19A for better photos -- but all of the other markers are present. The section of field above the cap enclosed by the die cracks appears to be "tilted" relative to the horizontal surface of the coin. It's in an older brown NGC holder, the generation one or two later from the no-line holders. How do you think NGC graded it? Nice grab Adam, I have an example graded MS-64 by NGC and this appears as it should be at least MS64 as well.

Awfully close to 64. I'm torn. Beautiful coin!

I think this is a solid 64, nice pickup! I've always liked the subtle rim colour contrasted with the white devices

Thanks for all of the comments! NGC said 64. My eyeball grade was 63, so that's fine with me.
