Hey there, I was wondering if anyone knew about the doubled rocks on Lincoln Memorial cent. I could look myself but I wanted to know if anyone just knew already off hand? I saw someone post about it a long time ago and forgot the year and mint mark, it should be on the FG side. Let me know if you know!! Thank you!!

Nothing I know about. The DDRS are more located on the devices, initials and the bars on the statue bay. The doubling on rocks are more of a single squeeze dies event. (Post 1996) some SS dies Sid happen earlier. But randomly. The best way to tell is the ridge rings, the Die Deterioration on the fields, and not on the devices, the lower profiles on the designs.
Wexler list some. Always learning more everyday.

None known so far. On single squeeze doubled dies, the doubling is usually at or near the center of the coin and that's pretty far from it. Also, being so close to the rim means it could be easily affected by Die Deterioration.

I believe it is unlikely but it wouldn't hurt to look for them if you want to.

Actually, I found one. It's listed as a 1991-D WDDR-003.

Thanks for posting that. There is always a first time.

Thanks tanman! I find that to be hilarious, because its on one of my favorite years to look for! I always be looking for WDDR- 001. LOL I was so star struck about 001 that I didn't even pay attention enough to look. But I wouldn't have missed it cause if I cant see One Cent, on 003, as a doubled die, then I probably shouldn't be looking for doubled dies lol.. Thanks Tanman, I hope that didnt take too long to find! You are always a great help! :)

It was a coincidence that I saw WDDR-003 the day you asked for it. I was just looking around at the 1990s LMC doubled dies, trying to memorize some of the unique doubled columns.

I also really want to find 1991-D WDDR-001 one day. Both of these 1991-D DDRs are amazing doubled dies and I'd love to have an example of them.

Tanman, you know which Doubled Die I would love to find someday as well too? That would be the 1990 WDDO-004 "Best Of Variety" LMC.
