Hello From Louisiana. Kinda New To The Hobby.

Southernpennyguy New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 07/14/2018 12:19 am Hello all. I'm kinda new to collecting and totally new to the forum. I used to collect all sorts of different coins when I was younger. I've recently gotten back into the hobby searching rolls of Lincoln cents for wheat pennies and different varieties and errors. I'm totally hooked already but very new to the error and variety scene so I'm hoping to learn as much as I can from anyone willing to school me. I can definitely see me expanding from collecting just Lincoln cents. I have a couple of Morgan dollars and there's something about them that makes me want to own a lot more of them. Looking forward to gaining some coin collecting friends and learning lots more about the hobby. Thanks for having me. Report this Post to the Staff

If you want to get into errors, there are dozens of books out there if you want to zero in on something, like Morgan errors. My newest book is the MegaRed 4 RedBook that just came out. it's the regular RedBook on steroids (about 3 in thick) and has a lot of history and information on just about every US coin made. Only thing I've found with RedBook is that they seem to be on the high side of coin values because they get the prices from auctions, and a lot of coins are sold through ebay and coin shows for a lot less.
