On my earlier post where I commented on returns, if a collector buys a non-certified coin on ebay, then submits it for certification, if there were a problem with authenticity, I think ebay would support the buyer on a return. However, as you are pointing out, submitting the coin to PCGS still does not necessarily guarantee authenticity. I am curious if the Polish auction houses like WCN are safe places to buy authentic Lodz ghetto coins. If I look at WCN, they sell about 100 Lodz ghetto coins each year (interestingly, I didn't see any recent sales of certified ones in their archive.
