I have a Wheat penny that is smooth on the Lincoln side. Thoughts?
Rest in Peace

It could be just damage, but we will need pictures of your coin to confirm it.

If it is smooth with no rim, then as Crazyb0 stated,
It's been ground off. You can't have a coin with the
rim only showing on one side.
It would then be classed as PMD.

Could be ground off, or a strike through, or many other causes.

and possibly its weight.
