Hey all.

New to the community, I have been collecting pocket change since ive moved here about 5 years. Have a bigger collection of world currercy but more have been focusing on getting the normal circulation coins

I recently came across an interesting quarter. Not sure if I'm ppsting this in the right spot but has a very unique ring on the front face. It is a 2008 canadian quarter with almost a toonie ring imprint. Thr ring is slightly of center to the coin and have not see a damaged coin like this. The ring almost makes a complete circle except for 2 parts underneath the 2008

The back face has no apparent marks or errors. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Image quality isn't the best but will give you an idea

most likely a vending machine, Gumball Machine mechanism damage, possible from a coin rolling machine(but that ring is usually closer to the rim)..

My guess is vending machine or parking meter damage.

To then CCF

Always nice to have another Canuck aboard.
silverwolf is correct.
Ring is caused by machine damage, not an error.
Rest in Peace
