The 14-D are die chips. Check the 43 for DDO or DDR. John1

So does it mean 14d a one off? Or Would the previously made, and later made coins have the same flaws?

Great photos, as usual. Congratulations for three keepers. How many Jeff's did you hunt?

Meow has gone through 12 Jeff rolls today. The 43p does not seem to have any dds, The "T" is the only thing that seems to even have the slightest tick, but its not enough to qualify Meow thinks.

Die chips are places where the die has broken from use, so every coin after from the same die would exhibit the same chips (blobs).

Meow found at least dozen more 2014ds in the rolls, but none of them had any flaws. New finds have been made, a new topic will made.

Quote: Nice Die Chip! The other Nickels look normal. Meow just wanted to show off the silver one, the old one as spoils of the hunt today. Not to mention Meow found another die chip, and a 1929s Buffalo an few hours later. Oh, and a fake proof. Meow's only second silver, and first ever buffalo since starting CRH.
