Coin yearbook 2018 states mintage is 6,100,000

Such a shame, news articles were showing the coin had sold for a couple of thousand pounds in previous sales! Must have been outliers, thanks for letting me know

SW14 - I regularly sort through bags of 50p coins from the bank. In the past year I've found over 70 Battle of Hastings 50p's. I reckon to get one on average in every £20 I check. This is most definitely not a rare coin. I used to put them aside at first, but now I just spend them. Just for a laugh, I tried putting one on ebay last weekend, starting at 50p, and with one day to go it has been bid up to 55p! And that is an uncirculated coin taken straight from a sealed mint bag, not one that's been knocking around in pocket change for two years! It has had over 1,000 'Views' though- far more than any other item I've ever put on ebay!
