I'm thinking MS63 for the Peace dollar, but it's hard to tell from the pictures and a VF for the nickel but once again it's also hard to tell. Any larger photos?

Pics are still not clear but if I had to guess, MS63 & VF+ possible XF40.

Okay thank you. I tried to get them clearer using webresizer.com, but apparently it didn't work very well.

Coinwhiz,
To have a realistic chance of accurately grading from a photo, we need to be able to see the fine details.

The Peace dollar is likely mint state, especially with a marked price of $32. However, close inspection of the eagle's shoulder and neck and Miss Liberty's hair details are necessary to decide whether it is AU or MS. It does looks like the fields and Liberty's cheek are free of major scuffs and contact marks, so I agree it could grade MS-63 or better. Higher grades require strong luster and that's really hard to judge from most photos, including these.

For the Liberty nickel we need to see the LIBERTY headband to judge sharpness of the letters. The hair and wreath details are important to decide whether the coin grades fine, v. fine, or extremely fine. Circulated grades are generally easier to determine than uncirculated grades. If you pick up a copy of the ANA Grading Standards book, you should easily be able to tell where this coin belongs on the grading scale. IMO that book is an important reference for any US coin collector.
